The European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network, ELGPN
The European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network, (ELGPN) is the European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme funded national network, which was launched in 2007.
The project aims to identify the availability of guidance systems ELGPN member states, to develop recommendations for policy makers and other stakeholders to assist in the evaluation of lifelong guidance provision in their country or region, identify those issues which should be paid more attention, and the shortcomings must be made on the basis of other European countries as good practice
EParticipants are all EU Member States, several countries who are in European Economic Area and candidate countries. Each of them represents a small group of representatives, which are involved in non- governmental organisations, that unites a wide range of social partners and other stakeholders. In ELGPN Latvia is represented by Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry or Welfare, Latvian Career Development Support Association, State Employment Agency and State Education and Development Agency (SEDA) , as well as European Commission Euroguidance network in Latvia. In 2013 SEDA on created website section ,were ELGPN news and publications are available.
