Career Week has concluded
Career Week took place from October 14 to 18, which gathered more than 137 000 young people in 83 cities across Latvia. This year’s events focused on career choices and future occupations, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence and technology in the future labour market. Career Week events included discussions with industry professionals, interactive classes, workshops, open days and creative workshops.
In Riga, Ogre, Kuldiga, Valmiera and Daugavpils, students from secondary and vocational education schools debated the role of future occupations and skills in technology and artificial intelligence in the coming decade and gained insight into their development and impact on labour market.
Career Week is an annual series of events that give young people the opportunity to learn about their possible future occupations, meet with representatives of different occupations, visit enterprises and receive career advice. Career Week is organised by State Education Development Agency (SEDA) in cooperation with 83 cities in Latvia and is funded by ESF project “Career support in general and vocational education schools”.
