New regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 202 ‘’Procedures by which State Recognised Education Documents Certifying Higher Education are Issued” (16.04.2013), entered in force in April 19,2013, and it updates the Higher Education Diploma Supplement according to the Latvian Education System that is linked to European Qualification Framework.

State Service of Education Quality will coordinate implementation of EQAVET

In May 1, 2013 the State Service of Education Quality new regulation (Cabinet of Ministers Nr.225, Riga, April23, 2013) entered into force.

In regulations there is defined State Service of Education Quality new aim- to provide with qualitative and legal education by monitoring the quality of education and providing support to all kinds and levels of educational institutions when implementing monitoring in the educational process.

Government supports the second round for modernising vocational education establishments (22.01.2013)

On 22 January 2013, the government approved the project of Cabinet Regulations “Regulations on implementing the second project selection round of the Action Programme “Infrastructure and Services” supplement 3.1.1.1. activity “Modernisation of education facilities and improvement of infrastructure for implementing vocational education programmes””, which was elaborated by the Ministry of Education and Science.

Career Week (26.-30.11.2012) in five cities of Latvia
