Third round for adult education is open for applications
State Education Development Agency (SEDA) from 15 August until 17 September 2018 is organizing applications for adult learning in terms of ESF project “Improvement of the professional competence of the employed persons”. The employed and self-employed (aged at least 25) can participate in the programme. Candidates can apply for 11 different economic sectors in 70 education institutions all around Latvia.
Similar to the second round, most popular economic sectors are manufacture of electronic and optical equipment, information and communication technologies industry, as well as construction. Among participants 66% were aged 25 to 44, and more than one third is aged 45 and more.
Majority of tuition fees are financed by EU funds, while participants only have to make a 10% co-payment. During the project participants can acquire new profession or knowledge only once.
Adults can apply in involved educational institutions by submitting application in person or electronically (by e-mail). Additional information can be accessed at www.macibaspieaugusajiem.lv, where information about study programmes, education institutions and application procedure can be found.
EU fund project “Improvement of the professional competence of the employed persons” is financed by ESF with co-financing of the state budget of Latvia. The project is implemented from 1 January 2017 until 31 December 2022.
