The programmes for centralized professional qualification examinations (2011/2012) are elaborated
The National Centre for Education (VISC) has developed Programmes of study year 2011/2012 for centralized professional qualification examinations in 62 professional qualifications. Programmes were elaborated in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations (30.08.2011) “The Procedure of professional qualification examinations in accredited vocational education programmes”, clause 20.
The designed programmes indicate the aim, recipient, and work structure of examination, in which the theoretical and practical parts are described, equipment, tools and facilities necessary for the examination process, as well as exam assessment procedures.
The description of theoretical part focuses on the task execution time, number of tasks in total and advanced tasks, the maximum number of points awarded, as well as the knowledge or the group of knowledge to be tested and the corresponding number of tasks is named.
The description of practical part listed the topics for the practical tasks or essential skills and/or professional competences to be acquired indicating the maximum number of points to be awarded in each, as well as execution time for each theme and the total execution time for the practical part.
The scale is also included this document for converting total number of points collected during the theoretical and practical parts of examination into 10 point scale used in Latvia to illustrate the exam scores.
The programmes are available here (in Latvian).
